My 220SE cabriolet was purchased from the factory by a US Army officer who was stationed in Germany.  He drove the auto for the entire period he was stationed there and shipped it to the USA via the Holland-American Line when he retired in 1962.

I am the second proud owner.  An active Shriner, I drive her in most all the parades and my wife, Pat, and I take her out for pleasure rides in the Texas hill country frequently.
