1960 Type 190Db kombi (station wagon)

This trailer hitch is on my 1960 Mercedes-Benz Type W121 190Db Ponton kombi (station wagon). I originally thought it was an after-market part added sometime over the years. Last weekend, I discovered it was an original Daimler-Benz product. The date stamped on the identification tag makes me believe it was added at the factory in Stuttgart in 1960. Naturally, I was surprised and thrilled that this was original to the car! I have not seen this option on any other Ponton.
