Dear Mercedes-Benz Ponton enthusiasts,
On Saturday September 17, 2011, I drove this 1959 Mercedes-Benz Type W120 180D Ponton sedan to my home from about 100 km (63 miles) away. Along the journey, I noticed several sympathetic reactions from enthusiastic bystanders! Anyway, driving her is a special experience – and hard work compared to our everyday modern cars!
Please enjoy the photos, and hopefully, I will soon add some additional examples in a more picturesque setting. As you can see, we enjoy getting out to drive and meeting with our "oldtimer" car friends.
Best regards,
Jean Pierre Vanhooren

This time wearing the "oldtimer" tags (the "O" is for oldtimer)
Photo 7. Both friends and fanciers gravitate to this attractive Type 180D
Even the W110 "Fintail" Mercedes-Benz wants a piece of the action
