FOR SALE:

1977 Kenwood KR-3600 AM/FM stereo receiver.

Technical Specifications (separate document)

This unit was thoroughly cleaned and detailed. It is in very good condition, and performs well without faults. Dial lamps and signal strength lamp were replaced with Type 51 lamps (wires soldered directly to the lamps per original design). Wood and fascia in great condition with only a few minor scratches. Cleaned the wood with a slurry of paraffin oil and rottenstone (usual procedure). Overall quite presentable. Additional photos taken during the refurbishing process.

FOR SALE:

Radiotron Designer's Handbook, Fourth Edition. Edited by F. Langford-Smith. Published by the Wireless Press for Amalgamated Wireless Valve Company Pty. Ltd. Sydney Australia, 1952. Reproduced and distributed by RCA Victor Division in America.

This (the Fourth Edition) is the big one with the red cover and 1,482 pages. Good condition. No page staining or damage. Spine shows signs of wear. Includes signature and address of previous owner.

Wonderful resource for anyone looking to reference electronic design concepts from the vacuum tube era. Great definitions, clear tables, graphs, and fully indexed.

Alas – some of the information in the book is no longer covered at institutes of higher education, so when considering the value, remember – a single credit-hour at university starts at about $400. It is impossible to obtain some of this knowledge for any price at any school today. Own a piece of history, and read it on cold winter nights by the fire (or hot summer days by the pool) – whatever you do, don't mistake downloading the .pdf file for having a useful collectible classic in your radio reference library.

$61 includes shipping to any point on the globe

AVAILABLE TO TRADE:
Hickok model "TV-10B/U" Tube Tester (ex-Navy)
Serial Number 223

Photos: July 13, 2011
AVAILABLE TO TRADE:

Ex-Navy Hickok model "TV-10B/U" tube tester. Serial number 223. The TV-10 is a slightly upscale model to the more common "TV-7" (ex-Army) tube tester. It's a bit larger too, and has the scroll instead of the loose-leaf tube data booklet.

This unit is clean, and the scroll is in excellent condition. Apparently complete – the tubes are there (see photos), the power lamp comes on, but when the Line Adjust button is pushed, the meter does not move. As the Line Adjust knob is turned, the Type 81 lamp (fuse) glows brighter. Have not investigated further. Might be a bad tube, or meter.

To do: Test the TV-10 meter – disconnect one lead, and put VOM across the TV-10 meter terminals. Use the 200 ohm range on the VOM. The VOM puts out a small voltage, and should create small deflection on the TV-10 meter. If the TV-10 meter shows no deflection, it is toast. The Antique Radio Forum has a Test Equipment discussion, and one reply suggested the TV-10 meters are larger than the TV-7 (i.e. not interchangeable).

Long-term plans include getting it functional again, but for now I am looking to trade it ( with an allowance ["+" or "-'] ) towards a working TV-7 – must be clean, undamaged, and in working condition. All reasonable offers considered.
